NHPMentor is in development and free to use. These are the terms while that is true.
It is not medical advice
NHPMentor reports what Health Canada's monographs say about licensed natural health products. It does not know your health, your medication or your history, and it is not a doctor, pharmacist or naturopath. Do not use it to diagnose or treat anything, and do not start, stop or change a medication or supplement based on it.
Answers are generated automatically and can be wrong or out of date. Every answer cites the monograph sections behind it — check anything that matters against the source.
A check is not a regulatory decision
An application check compares what your Product Licence Application says with the Health Canada monographs it attests to, using the copy of those monographs we hold. It is not a Health Canada review and does not predict one.
A clean report does not mean an application will be accepted: the Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate screens against more than the monographs, and every report lists what was examined and what was not. Findings can also be wrong or incomplete — each one quotes the monograph text behind it so you can check it yourself before acting on it.
Who can hold an account
You must be at least 18 years old. These terms are an agreement, and we do not ask anyone under the age of majority to enter one; the service is built for people preparing Product Licence Applications rather than for the general public. We confirm your age from the date of birth you give when you register, and we do not store that date — see the Privacy Policy.
Using it
- One account per person, and keep your password to yourself.
- Don't scrape it, resell the answers, or use it to give other people medical advice.
- Don't attack the service or try to reach anyone else's data.
We can close an account that does any of this.
What we don't promise
The service is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, accurate or complete. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may change these terms; the date above changes when we do. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.
